Privacy Policy

Law Offices of Jonathan R. Whitehead LLC
Effective October 28, 2026

This policy explains what information our website, whiteheadlawllc.com, collects when you visit, how we use it, and the choices you have. It covers only this website and the ways you contact us through it. It does not govern the information we receive from clients during a representation; the Missouri Rules of Professional Conduct govern that. This site is intended for visitors in the United States.

The short version

  • Our hosting company’s server logs (including IP addresses), Google Analytics, Google Fonts, and the Google Maps and Calendly tools collect information about visits.
  • We do not sell your information or use Google Analytics’ advertising features, and the site carries no advertising pixels.
  • If you email, call, or book a consultation, we use what you send to respond, check for conflicts, schedule, and decide whether we can help. Bookings also go to Calendly and Zoom, and AI services help us read and sort what you send.
  • Contacting us does not make you our client, and email is not necessarily secure. Send no confidential details until we have checked for conflicts and told you we can consider your matter.

Information collected automatically

Server logs. Our hosting company’s web server records each request it receives: your IP address, the date and time, the page or file requested, the page that referred you, and your browser information. The host turns these logs into traffic statistics that we can see, and some monthly copies of the raw logs, with IP addresses, are stored in our hosting account.

Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 on every page to measure how people use the site. It places cookies in your browser and records the pages you view, how far you scroll, clicks on links to other websites, and file downloads. We also have it record clicks on phone, email, and consultation or booking links, and on buttons such as “visit the firm” on archived articles. Those records add the link’s address or wording, never anything you type. Google receives your IP address when your browser connects to it; Google states that Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. We have turned off Google signals, ads personalization, the setting that lets Google Analytics pick up contact details from a page, and the options that share our Analytics data with Google for its own products or for benchmarking. You can read How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.

Google Fonts. Our pages load their typefaces from Google Fonts. Your browser connects to Google to fetch them, and Google receives your IP address and browser information under Google’s privacy policy.

Google Maps. The map on our homepage is provided by Google Maps. When the map loads, your browser connects to Google, which receives your IP address and browser information under Google’s privacy policy.

Scheduling. Our homepage includes a scheduling tool provided by Calendly. It loads from Calendly’s servers whenever the homepage loads, and Calendly sets its own cookies inside it. If you book, what you enter (the form asks for your name, your email address, and the general legal issue) goes to Calendly and then to us. Booking also creates a Zoom meeting, so your name and email address go to Zoom, and if we meet by Zoom, the meeting runs on Zoom’s service. Calendly’s and Zoom’s privacy policies govern what they do with that information.

What we do not use. The site has no advertising, retargeting, or social-media pixels and no session-recording tools. Our links to Facebook are ordinary links; the site carries no Facebook pixel, code, or embedded posts. Our icons load from our own host. The site has no accounts, comments, newsletter, or contact form of its own.

Information you send us

When you email us, call us, or book a consultation, you choose what to tell us. We use that information to respond to you, to check whether we have a conflict of interest, to schedule a consultation, and to decide whether we can help. Our email runs on Google Workspace. We also use AI services, such as Anthropic’s Claude, to help us read, sort, and summarize emails and phone messages and to draft replies; we review anything these tools draft before it is sent.

Before you contact us

Emailing, calling, or booking a consultation does not make you our client. Until we have checked for conflicts and told you we can consider your matter, we cannot promise to keep what you send confidential, and what you send before then might not stop us from representing someone else, including someone on the other side. Email is not necessarily secure or confidential. At first, send only your name, how to reach you, the names of the other people or organizations involved, and a sentence about the kind of help you need. Send documents and details only after we have told you we can consider your matter. An automatic booking confirmation is not that message.

Who receives information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your information. We share it:

  • with service providers that help us run our website and our practice, including our hosting company, our phone company, Google, Calendly, Zoom, and the AI services that help us manage email and phone messages; and
  • when the law or the Missouri rules for lawyers require or permit it, such as in response to a valid subpoena or court order.

How long we keep it

  • Server logs are kept under our hosting company’s default settings; we have not set a shorter period. Our monthly traffic summaries go back to 2020.
  • Google Analytics keeps detailed event data for 14 months under our setting. That setting does not affect Google’s standard summary reports.
  • Inquiries. We keep emails from people who do not become clients, including Calendly’s booking notices, for at least six years. What Calendly and Zoom keep on their own systems is governed by their own policies. We may keep inquirers’ names and contact details in our conflict-check records indefinitely, because we need them to avoid conflicts of interest.

Your choices

  • You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The scheduling tool may not work without them; you can call or email us instead.
  • You can opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
  • Browser extensions that block third-party scripts can keep the map and the scheduling tool from loading.
  • Do Not Track. Our site does not respond to “Do Not Track” browser signals. We do not track you across other websites, but Google and Calendly, whose services load on our site, may collect information about your online activities over time and across different websites under their own policies.

Questions about this policy

Send questions about this policy, or about information we hold from your emails, calls, or bookings, to frontdesk@whiteheadlawllc.com. Nevada residents may send requests not to sell to the same address, though we sell no personal information. Deleting our copy would not delete what Google, Calendly, Zoom, our phone company, our hosting company, or the AI services we use keep under their own policies.

Children

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Security

We use HTTPS on every page. No system is perfectly secure.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with a new effective date.
